The image of Akito came from the Aethereality Gallery. It was originally a pretty large size. I sized it down to a good medium-sized picture and brightened it up quite a lot using a few layers image effects.


I already knew that I didn't want to use the background in the image. It only took a few minutes to clear away the background because there wasn't much going on in it. The edges near her hair and the petals were a bit harder to clear off, but it eventually the background was gone.


I rotated the image because it was one of those where it isn't a complete picture and something was cut off. It actually turned out better this way in my opinion. Then I used a texture from Gender (link on index page).


I used a stock image (can't remember where it came from though) for the little red dots you see there. Lastly I used a few default brushes that came with the program to darken the middle area of the layout and added text.
